To this point, setting the sensor to detect the wells of the world has been extremely frustrating. I like the addition of the Up or Down indicator, but I wish there was a way to get a bit more directional control.
My other wish list would be for caves you've cleared the bubbulfrog not to show up when you make an offering at the sakura for the Satori.

Gotta say, just doing exploration as I wrap up the last 16 caves looking for the Bubbulfrogs, exploring areas Hero's Path says I've never visited, etc has been extremely satisfying.

I would be down for an upgraded, "Sensor++" thing that directs you to the nearest target no matter how far away. Maybe another feature that also targets only whatever instances of the thing that you haven't found yet.
Simple upgrades that can be earned through sidequests or whatever.

Yeah, unlocking additional sensor features after completing the main game would be a nice add. I'm down to the final dozen caves and I'm a little sad.
It's BS that Koltin hasn't given me any tips other than a raw count of how many gems are left, worldwide since I got down to the last 75.

Finding the last two caves is brutal. I've had to resort to using IGN's interactive map/check-off.
BTW, would it be too much to ask Nintendo for an option to increase the icon/font size? At a minimum, increase the map zoom function. Clearly I'm getting older and handheld mode is not my friend.

Finally completed all the Bubbul Gems. What a lame reward for such a massive quest.

Was it worse than getting golden poop for finding all of the Korok seeds? I think I can understand completionists to an extent, but it also seems so much like a job. If the end result is something that I can use later in the game, I get collecting stuff. When I've already beaten the game, it's hard to find the motivation to keep going.

This. Once I finish the story, I can't keep going.

It's a Koltin paraglider skin.

I definitely appreciate your commitment to finishing this and the other collection side quests, but Jesus Christ I would've thrown my controller at the TV if that was me
I am going to eventually try and find all the wells, is the reward for that any better?

It's a snowglobe Special Item, much like the Monster Hunter trophies and such.
I am really enjoying the exploration factor with nowhere to be on a pressing basis. I'm collecting materials to level up my armor, catching Star Fragments whole skydiving, etc.
I doubt I'll clear all the Korok seeds, but I had to use a list for the caves/Bubbul gems...
I didn't go hardcore completionistfor BOTW, so it's a bit of a departure for me.

Hell, I haven't even finished the story and I've found it difficult to keep going. I explored every nook and cranny of BotW but have found my motivation lacking in this one due to it being mostly the same game. The underworld stuff isn't interesting enough for me and the above ground stuff is lacking outside of the temples/dungeons. I'm at the final Ganon battle but haven't even started it...haven't picked up the game in probably 2 months.

That's how I felt when I was finishing the game. I absolutely loved it, but I wore the game out. The depths was a great idea, but the sheer size of it didn't help the lack of variation.
If I hadn't beaten Gannon on the first try, I probably wouldn't have tried again. Although, that is how I've handled most Zelda games. I am not sure how I defeated Gannon on one try. I felt like I as down to one hit for so long but Link just kept going.

Yeah, I cleared him my first go, too. I wish you could go back and re-do the final phase, at-will.
I'm trying to clear the Taluses & Hinoxes from the surface world, now and marking them off on the IGN interactive map.

You definitely should. It's a great sequence and a fun fight.

I'm in the same boat. I beat the game "early" missing out on some side quests just because I figured I would sink more time and effort once DLC dropped with a master mode. Now that I know there won't be a master mode, I don't really have the motivation to jump back into the game and finish up side quests and do more exploring. I really screwed myself over.

I didn't defeat Ganon until just a couple of weeks ago. I really made a point to enjoy the journey this time around. I've taken down a couple of Lynels on the surface whereas I used to avoid them( Puffshrooms frick those guys UP), and am enjoying hitting the blank spaces on Hero's Path.

Having to make a Depths run to stock back up on Bomb Flowers and Large Zonaite to finish my level up on the Zonaite Armor set.

Impressive but the main thing I took from that article is there are no plans for DLC
