The dimensions of Auburns Plainnsman Park seem ridiculously small compared to other SEC parks. Crews, White, Jones, Beloso, Dugas, Thompson and company may all have multiple extra base hits this weekend.

LF is only 315’ from home plate with a 31’ high wall aka green monster. How many dents will LSU add to that wall as they stand on 2nd base with a double?

Then, the CF wall is only 385’, 20’ shorter than the Box. Can you say Crews missle?

Finally there’s RF, which is 331’ down the line and 360 in the alley. Tommy Tanks says hello.

Here are the dimensions of the entire park.

size
LF: 315 ft
LC: 385 ft
CF: 385 ft
RC: 360 ft
RF: 331 ft

Unless Aubies pitchers have a breakout weekend, our boys are gonna rake. LFG

That is the kind of field where we would play Homerun Derby when I was a teen.

I think these tiny parks in the SEC favor the less talented team. Better chance for something fluky to happen. LSU's homerun hitters don't exactly hit wall scrappers.

Storms around all weekend and a mostly South wind will push a lot of balls into the Tiger Terrace down 3B.

HRs maybe, but a smaller field (less ground to cover) would make doubles and triples far less likely.

So they have that wall 315 in LF.

They lead the league in double which makes sense but only have about 67 HR. It’s so close most warning track balls at our stadium would clear it.

Which I mean, RF is still only 360. It’s a small park.

Trey Morgan will need to learn how to play with the mini Green Monster in left field.

You already know Cade Beloslow will be staying at 1B. Jk, he only hits to RF

Almost every team in the SEC has a very HR friendly park. This could be a good weekend for our hitters.
