BREAKING: The Milwaukee Bucks dismissed coach Mike Budenholzer, sources tell ESPN. Budenholzer is out after the East’s top-seed suffered a first-round loss to the Miami Heat.

I guess Milwaukee's season was a failure after all.

I could see Bud taking a year off before getting back into anything else.

If anything this is worse for those picks. Bud is a mediocre coach that’s been carried by Giannis. If Durant’s toe wasn’t on the line in the 21 playoffs he would’ve been fired then.

It doesn't matter as long as Giannis is there.

Sometimes, a guy can be a good coach with some players but then end up with a poisoned relationship that ultimately makes him ineffective in that situation.

I think that this is much more true in the NBA than in other team sports.

Kerr is arguably the worst of the group with the best draw of players keeping him afloat. Sort of like getting to play on the 90's Bulls... they sure didn't go on the run because of Kerr.

Soccer too. Biggest clubs in the world often only have their coaches for a couple years. It’s wild.

Hell Chelsea has had 4 since September (really 3). The American loyalty to coaches is baffling, although I guess our system of drafting players as opposed to buying/selling means you can’t just fix a team in an offseason.

American sport has a great structure where the playing field is ‘relatively’ level… the cap system… free agency and the draft. If managed well a small team can do well for a long time.

Over here the rich clubs get richer… and spend hundreds of millions each season on new players which smaller teams just can’t compete with… so the pressure to succeed is insane.

In Chelsea’s case… they’ve spent a billion and suck. I could fricking coach that team …play 4-4-2 formation and not lose 10 in a row like they have.

That's one of the reasons I don't really follow European leagues but with passion I follow NBA and NFL
