TJ just does not have the mental acuity to play QB in the SEC.

Good luck to him. Sorry it did not work out for him at LSU.

You have no way of knowing that.

Agreed he would work at a McNeese/ULM type school

All that and he could have gone to the right school initially and had a decent career.

Another failure of the evaluation process for QBs. TJ was heavily recruited and written about because of his measurables. He was never a good QUARTERBACK.
He completed 47% of his passes as a junior AND WAS PICKED FOR THE ELITE 11?!?!?
He did slightly better as a senior at 54%.
Who the hell thinks this guy was an SEC caliber QB?
Because of his size, everyone assumed he could be molded. But the fact is, evaluating QBs is as far removed from measurables as any other position on the field.

Knowing for sure? Of course not. But there is three years of data plus the glaring red flags from high school that he sucked at passing. So I think it's a fair opinion to have.

He picked up his degree already. Pretty good. I wish him the best of luck.
And to the poster commenting on his "mental acuity": Being a good QB has very little to do with intelligence. There have been some pretty dumb QB's in the NFL.

Dude is the most entitled shitty QB that I have ever seen. Dude fricking sucked arse at LSU and his parents had the audacity to ask Orgeron for Finley not to room with anyone and the retard O complied.

His physical tools are obviously above average. If he has the physical tools, what is he lacking? Motivation?

I think they think you meant he was stupid. I just think he doesn't have great vision, doesn't process quickly and is wild with his throws. He is simply not a good quarterback. Doesn't make him dumb but it certainly is the mental side of the game where he is lacking.
He was just an imposing figure and he could throw the ball with velocity. The nerds at 247 (and Orgeron) couldn't help themselves when they saw him in shorts and a t-shirt running drills.

That last sentence is not really true. While it is true there's more to the evaluation physical attributes is what can shift a good QB to being elite because those are tools that are naturally gifted and no coach can mold. That's the difference between a good college QB and one who's going to get drafted in the NFL. That's why physical attributes are always rated higher among scouting because it's something that can't be coached. You don't know how well a player can soak coaching in until they get to campus so obviously physical attributes will sit high on the evaluation.
The mental part of it is just as important as the physical part of an evaluation. In big boy ball you need elite to win championships generally speaking with a few obvious exceptions.

I don't think you'll find anyone who will argue he doesn't have the arm strength or physical ability to play QB in the SEC. But I also think most would agree it takes more than just a great arm and great size to be good QB. The ability to quickly process actions/information is paramount to being a good QB too. Given he has the requisite size/physical ability, but has struggled to compete at, now, TWO SEC schools leads to argument that his shortcoming are with the processing portion of playing the position.
That DOES NOT mean he is a dumb person. It just means he may not be able to process things on the field quickly and accurately enough to have success. Lord knows I can't, and I'm sure most others here couldn't either.

Auburn is a dumpster fire. Maybe he wants to go somewhere that’s positive

I used the word acuity for a reason. Acuity does not necessarily mean intelligence. It can be associated with intelligence but in this context I mean his ability to see, hear and process at SEC game speed.

Freeze probably sent his arse packing which I don't blame him.

The kid a has a degree that he didn’t have to pay a dime for. I think that’s pretty good.

I think there could be some real money in the "social media transfer apology manager" business. "I will never forget the heartfelt memories I've made here."
lol right.
