Going to Vegas in early June for 3 nights primarily to see a concert. Looking for an upscale dinner one of the other nights and a show on the other one. Looking for steak/Italian for the dinner and open on type of show.

Any suggestions?

Why not shows both nights?

My two favorite shows are absinthe and mad apple.

They are both great shows. Id try to make both.

Mad apple has some seats that are what id call the best value in las vegas. The seats are kinds built into the stage but are real cheap. So you mostly see the comedian from behind but all of the acts are right by you. Check them out if you want a different perspective. Stagerow row A seats 5 and 6. Put your wife in seat 6.

Seats are $25 each best deal in vegas. Great show and so much energy. Book now if you want those seats.

Absinthe is great also. I dont think there is a bad seat in the absinthe arena because it is small but id try and get within the 1st two rows of the stage.

Ive never been to that show. Ive been to x cabaret at flamingo and it was ok. Id rather the absinthe style of show.

OPM is put in by the same people as absinthe and is pretty good. Maybe slightly more raunchy.

They also do atomic saloon but that one was just ok.

I can list some good magic shows if you are interested in that. Ive seen almost every show in vegas lmao.

The show "Rouge" at the Strat has some very good acrobats and aerialists. Plenty of teetons too.

Mad Apple for sure.

Din Tai Fung for dinner. However, we are big fans of the restaurant in general and eat whenever we are in a city with one.

Absinthe is my favorite show in Vegas. We did Eiffel Tower restaurant one night and Din Tai Fung the other. Eiffel Tower was good but not great considering how many culinary experiences there are in Vegas but my wife wanted a view of the Bellagio fountains.

Some of the shows, like Absinthe, have a tie in with an affiliated restaurant to coincide with showtime

Here's a full write up from our trip.

We stayed at Cosmopolitan for recent a UFC fight weekend.

We went to Prime restaurant and the O show both at the Bellagio next door. That made it very convenient for us. The outside patio seating at Prime was pretty great right behind the fountains. Make sure to request it early as possible.

I also agree with the other aforementioned Din Tai Fung recommendations even if just for lunch. Great Taiwanese place. We also try to eat there in other cities when possible.

Shin lim was my favorite.

Paranormal Mind reading magic was good

Mat franco was good

The mentalist was good

I was disappointed in penn and teller and kriss angel

David copperfield was kind if stale but still wanted to See him for nostalgia.

Ive seen a few others but most were just meh.

Also david blaine has a show which i really want to see but havent had a chance yet. Id probably do that or shin lim if I had to do over. Shin lim might be the best sleight of hand magician in the world.

Some of the above are early shows so you can still do a night show.

Vegas is one of my frequent haunts. It's fairly hard to find a bad strip casino restaurant. All of the high-end steak houses are going to be really good. The steak house at old, arse Mirage is as good, if not better than Jean Georges, Prime, or Craftsteak.

As for shows, and I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet, but the Beatle's Love show at the Mirage is pretty damn good. The mixture of the music with the acrobatics is phenomenal.
