Lawrence Jones
quote:

Jones, who worked in the Obama campaign when he was 15, reported live from Uvalde, Texas, after the mass shooting that killed 19 children and two adults, and has also covered the death of Tyre Nichols, the Idaho murders, nationwide protests following the death of George Floyd and the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on minority communities across the country.

I predict he will get hundreds of thousands of people watching his show

Lawrence has already hosted other time slots before. His selection isn't out of nowhere and likely only temporary.

Oh, goody. Hannity will be able to do that jive talking deal that he does when he talks to black people that he wants to appear friendly to, every night on the pass off/lead in!

Jonesy’s a good guy, but perhaps not the most versatile player at the position. Seems like a company man as well, probably wouldn’t push the envelope too much or give upper management any issues/problems.

No one at Feaux news will push the company, Murdoch and Ryan, envelope.

I'll give him about the same amount of time I gave Tucker - zero. Isn't he one of the guys that picked up a Sunday time slot that he hosts?

Maybe News that comes approved on the tele isn't the best source. Maybe turn it all off.

Surprised it wasn't Dylan Mulvaney.

At least one appears to have done so in recent days, perhaps two, “pushed the envelope” that is - although clearly it didn’t end entirely well. The effort was there. Lol

He's not a bad kid at all, but this is a big stage. They're kind of throwing him to the wolves like Hollywood does to protect a shitty, unimaginative reboot/remake.

I like him on Fox and friends as a segment guy, and he’s not bad as a fill in host here and there. But I don’t know if this is gonna translate.

I assumed they’d put Jesse in there and then slide someone else into his spot like they did when they bumped Tucker up after they canned O’Reilly.

For some reason, I don’t see this working.

Jones is great, I have nothing against this move, the only thing is does he have control. My problem in this ordeal is he going to just be a “mouth piece”, cause that just kills all credibility, and it kills Fox. The allure of Tucker was that it was actually possible to tune in and get something different, something to shed light on Government corruption, that the regular media didn’t cover. If Jones is “Handled “, then there’s not a chance in hell anyone under 65 will watch. Fox has a credibility problem, not a host problem!!

I liked Jones - and wish him well.

But if he has the same restraints that appear to be the current norm, his show will be no better than Hannity's and that is pretty bad.

We need an outlet that will 'go there and say that' - and let the truth sort itself out under the umbrella of a true debate.

Fox will try and turn him into their Don Lemon - hope not but that network is shifting to a forum for the GOPe and RINOs.
