Has happened at some point in every event ive ever been to with these things. It usually comes back up quickly and isnt a big deal. A group of people always have a full blown manic meltdowqn about it.

I worried about this being an issue as it’s the first time using the machines and the technical/training aspect can be a problem. Today is very busy for a first Friday from what I understand

The food lines are the worst I’ve seen them. It takes a while for cards to process. All i can say is it’s not going well. But I guess that was expected.

They need to allow cash or get the network faster.

Holy shite!
My buddies that are volunteers at a few beer tents are saying they need triple the number of card readers they have currently.

That looks awful. Covid would have been worth it if it ended Jazzfest for good.

I just didn't buy any food, which was a first for me.

When we got in, went to get a rosemint tea by the art area and their machine was down, this was about 11:30. They started taking cash but they didn't bring change so we're taking 8 bucks for the tea that was $7.50.

I’m very disappointed about the cashless rule. I’m going tomorrow and decided I’d go straight for the food when the gates open and then not again for the rest of the day to avoid those lines. What a terrible decision. Was it driven by tax purposes? I would guess the vendors will have less sales and higher credit card fees because of it? Patrons get screwed

My first time going to Jazz Fest and everyone was complaining about the food lines. They were slow for sure. It was a good day. No broken windows, didn’t get shot, everyone was friendly.

Jazz Fest is taking a % of sales so forced card only to make sure they get every penny

No problems yesterday. The only time I had to wait more than a few minutes was in the crawfish Monica line. Other than the rain, it was a great day. Watching my kid enjoy Ed Sheeran was the icing on the cake. (I wanted to see Steve Miller, but seeing the kid totally jam out to Bad Habits made me tear up. He was so happy.)
