Started a thread on the movie board, but figured most people here would appreciate it.

Synopsis: Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy, based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith, about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.

Anyone play this back in the day and enjoy it?

Twisted Metal 2 was my jam back in the day.

It's a shame that the genre is dead now. I'd kill for a graphically overhauled re-release of Twisted Metal 2.

There were a few other deep cuts back in the PS1 era like Vigilante 8 and Rogue Trip that were legit as well.

This is very exciting.... I think the reason it took me 5 1/2 years to get a bachelors degree is due to TM2. I rented it from blockbuster enough times to have bought 10 copies of that game.

I remember at a young age playing road rash on 3DO and wanting something like that just to beat people up in vehicles and along came the PlayStation and twisted metal.

fun fact, 3DO was made by the EA founder and tried to get sony on board but they were working on the PlayStation.

I remember blowing up the Eiffel Tower in TM2. I don't know if they could put that in a game now.
