Playing there next Friday with a group of Marine buddies before we head down to Cocodrie for a weekend of fishing/Golf/drinking. Seeing if anyone has played there recently and what kind of shape it is in. Thanks in advance.

Playing LaTour the next day on Saturday morning

bold strategy Cotten. Might want to see if you can get on at Ellendale instead. At least from what I've read here.

BREC, like most things under democrat control, went equity based and therefore to shite.

Expect subpar conditions and slow arse play. Better going to one of the other non-BREC courses in the area.

Beaver Creek is having a tournament that morning and it puts us on the good side of BR for Friday afternoon traffic as we head down to Cocodrie after our round. Just 4 of us playing golf, but will have 13-14 of us staying at a couple camps for the weekend.

Is Pelican Point open to the public? That would be on the correct side of BR also.

There are many great privately-owned public courses in Baton Rouge to choose from

Greens have poanna or whatever it’s called. They may be able to cut and roll to make in manageable for tomorrow. Not super wet though. It’s been in better shape but not absolutely terrible.

I played last Wednesday, which was before the rain we got Friday and Saturday.

If I could grow poa on my driveway, it would be similar to Santa Maria greens. Super hard, very fast, but bouncy and it's sheer luck if the ball rolls where you intended.

Fairways were hard as well, and lacking much grass in most areas. Perhaps the rain last weekend helped.

Fairway turf likely won't make huge gains in one week
