Why not just say luck smiles on us again? Not everyone understands German.

I know the stat program the NCAA uses (StatCrew) very well... and... let's just say he or she didn't input the game's final play correctly just by looking at the wording of the live stats PBP

how the scorer input it...
Batter - L4
Runner - 43

how it SHOULD be input...
Batter - L43 DP
Runner - X

the incorrect input robs LSU of a double play b/c the scorer doesn't know what he or she is doing

I'm assuming that it's not the official scorer inputting it into the program. They should catch that when the scorer proofs the box score.

Did yall see anything that you think would prohibit Dugas from playing on through? Just as casual fans watching? I mean he grinded through ok, I know it was his first game back and some were observing trouble throwing... I personally missed those particular plays... either way.. hope he's good.

Thats great news, he did as usual come up big for us a few times. We really need him in that spot and I gotta know he wants to be there too...

yes... what was input live should end up being official

now... this could've been a student or intern inputting as a training and the actual SID employee should catch it and fix it

but as input at the time of the game... it's incorrect and currently robs Nippolt & Morgan of being involved in a DP

I must say... it is an error young & learning scorers make

hell... I wanted to give them credit for scoring that out that ended the bottom of the 8th right

throwing error on Thompson, advancing the runners to the next base, and then just 3-2 on the put out at home

I’m totally ignorant about this process so please be kind… If it’s not fixed, can LSU have it corrected after?

Any of the scorer decisions can be appealed. It’s possible they turn some of those errors into hits although that’s rare. The scorer typically has autonomy on those “subjective” decisions.

His arm doesn’t look anywhere close to “fine”.

Except LSU didn't face a Friday night starter or anywhere close to it. The freshmen reliever had far and away his best outing of the season. There was plenty to not like about the bats last night and they will have to be much better now that Skenes and Herring are done.

Hunter Elliot’s pitch count today is 50 pitches. If LSU is patient, I assume Elliot will be a little rusty and they may be able to knock him out quickly.

Dugas had to shot put the ball. He’s not 100% by any stretch.

I still want him in the line up.
