But seriously, I’ve never heard of anybody caring how many double plays they were a part of. And that seems like more of a technical thing anyway. Not that I wouldn’t want all of it called and entered correctly, it just pales in comparison to the E6s on their SS. And I don’t see how we can get past those to really discuss anything else scoring related. Those were just inexcusable and that kind of incompetence simply can’t be tolerated from an official scorer at this level.

FYI the official box on LSU’s website has the last sequence credited as a double play. If their setup is like LSU’s the official scorer doesn’t enter this into Statcrew. He checks it after the fact to reconcile with the official book.
