“Sat behind”

Dude played his freshman year. Its not like he waited til his senior year to finally play.

I get the point, just saying he isnt the best example to use. ??

The transfer portal is not as black and white as he puts it there.

“Sat behind” is a little disingenuous, he played a ton as a freshman and was an impact player.

I generally agree with overall point though

Agree 100% for underclassmen. I won’t ever knock an upperclassmen for transferring who has put in the time/graduated but can’t get on the field. These young cats leaving before they even compete for a job is not in any way healthy for the sport.

I’m no fan of college sports free agency. They should be required to sit out a year unless they graduate. It wouldn’t bother me to see athletes be allowed to have a Graduate season or 5th season.

He played a lot as a freshman but he has a point. Having to work and earn your way against competition makes you a better player.

For anyone that is a fan of LSU to knock the transfer portal is ridiculous. Jayden Daniels led LSU to the SEC Championship Game and a win over Alabama. Angel Reese led LSU to a National Championship. Paul Skenes is the best pitcher on the #1 team in the country. We have probably benefited more than any other fanbase in the country.

Badger don’t lie. Kids are too soft and just want the easier path vs working your tail off regardless of outcome.

Hate what college football has turned into. Definitely has caused me to lose interest in the sport - too businesslike

Can’t blame the players for taking advantage of the system, though

The portal is just another option for universities to build their teams. No longer can teams hoard good players they don't intend to use just to keep them from other teams. If you are a good player, you can find a place that will use your skills.
