That is true if you take into consideration that whites comprise a much larger population than do blacks. Take a look at this table in the link and see the true numbers per 100,000 people/per race. LINK
Be sure and indicate "all ages" and "rate". This is for year 2020, the latest year for this posted data.

Wrong? I don't think so, Tim. I gave you the table and link from the U.S. Dept. of Justice. But which is it? Earlier, you said that whites commit more crime. Now you're saying that everyone, which includes you, knows that black people are more likely to commit a crime. What is your stance here? Can't have it both ways.

Whites commit most crime because there are more whites. Blacks are more likely to commit a crime but there are far fewer of them. Pretty easy to follow.

He's right, though. Black people commit almost 50% of all murders in the U.S. Since blacks are 13% of the population and since females rarely commit murder, then we can safely say that 6% of the population commits about half of murders. And if you want to break it down further, it is probably more like 3% because it's almost always 15-30 year olds doing it. (Not a lot of retired old black men out gang banging).
I don't have stats for non-murder violent crime in front of me, but I bet the stats aren't much different there either.
And, finally, I don't trust "surveys" of households. I trust hard data - Police departments reporting their murders and who the perps are. That is far more reliable than just calling up random people asking them about crimes they were victims of.
