Coming into today there was only one team with an ERA under 4 in SEC games (and that's Vandy at 3.97). 10 of the 14 teams have ERAs of 5 or higher in SEC games.

This is the stretch that will make this team because we have injuries and are scuffling in certain areas while still winning. As frustrating as it can be (count me as one if those fans), we have a lot to be confident about going forward.

I could see ole miss beating us in games 2 and 3 very easily. They can slug almost as good as us. And if we are down gavin, i could definitely see it

Definitely did a good job against really tough competition. Hopefully we can overcome all the injuries. Talent to do so is there just need guys to mature

Meanwhile Georgia is tied with #3 Florida in the eighth inning. Georgia is trying to take the series.

A lot of these people don't even watch baseball, they just here to bitch and moan. Or I'd argue some of them are probably alters. But those of us who do watch, we know. Hardest part down, easier path, just get healthy and stay the course! WIN BABY!

Without doing the research personally- how many of those ranked opponents were sec teams - I assume it’s a significant majority in which case I’m ok with it - in every sport the sec beats up on itself - it’s a positive thing for player development and championship readiness - not so much for stat gurus (casual fans)

LSU fans do tend to overreact, and yes the schedule gets a little easier, but it is weird being #1 in the country and 6th in the conference at the same time.

If we would've blew in the 9th like Florida did vs Georgia our fans would've melted like never before.
