The wife insist that’s she wants a Honda Odyssey. Her friend has one, and I can’t talk her out of it.

So we started the buying process. Apparently, the list price is the price.

We haven’t bought a car in a while. I guess this is the current climate? Anyone know some that works at a Honda Dealership in Louisiana?

Proof women just want what their friends have.

If this was a decked out Tahoe or BMW SUV, I may say otherwise, but can’t be talked out of a van?

Honda hates to come off their prices. If you’re not in a rush, they’ll call you back and drop the price a lil. I had one years ago and really liked it. It rode and drove fantastic. You’re probably gonna get crap on here about buying a minivan, but if you’re in the market, that’s the one to get.

They are good cars but I think the Toyota is a better van having owned both of them.

With that said the Toyotas are hard to get and Honda seems to have done better at having stock. New Toyotas are also hybrid only.

Nowadays yes I wouldn't expect much off sticker but you can try to online shop a few dealers.

If you do get the Honda please get the VCM muzzler off ebay and immediately disable the VCM system (its plug and play and does not void your warranty). It causes nothing but troubles and doesn't present any measurable increase in fuel mileage.

Hope this helps.

Going on my second Honda Odyssey. The first one? Totaled in a grinding T-bone wreck. Wife and I walked away without even a scratch. Thank God for the airbags, especially the side airbags. Reliable, durable, and comfortable.

Love me some Honda Odyssey.

My wife has her second one and overall it is a good vehicle especially if you have kids. Some issues with transmission shifting rough though.

I think you can fit a sheet of plywood in the back if necessary to haul one. That’s all I got.

Doesn’t the Sienna have a black trim/black rims package?

Ever try the Costco or Sam’s membership buying service?

I owned one in early 2000’s. At the time I wasn’t excited about owning a minivan. However, going on a beach vacation or even running errands in it was pretty nice. May not be cool but it is super functional. If she wants it and is the main driver, make it happen son

Most places are above MSRP. Honda's inventory is lacking. MSRP is a good price right now. Hondas do not carry that much a profit in the first place.
