New Orleans Voodoo likely returning in 2024

The Arena league is relaunching next season, and their commissioner gave an interview on an AFL retrospective podcast last month when he singled out New Orleans by name as a city likely to get a team. It was a good listen, definitely made me more optimistic about the relaunch than I otherwise was. The advantage Arena football has over the XFL or USFL is that it’s different enough from regular football to not be a blander, worse version of the NFL.

I love sports as much as the next guy, but sometimes I feel like these leagues try too hard. Arena Football was good while it lasted, but it died a slow painful death. I think it ran its course and I'd be shocked if it ever was successful again.

Please, please give the TV rights back to NBC, who treated it with respect and like it was a big deal.
