Saw this last week on Bud Light, but Now Daily Wire is reporting

According to the sources, “no one at a senior level” had any idea of the partnership and the decision to feature Mulvaney in the ad campaign was made by a “low-level marketing staffer”.
Having worked with multiple large and mid-sized company marketing departments, I will tell you that while it is very probable that a "low level marketing staffer" was assigned to influencer marketing, the VP of Marketing was aware. Maybe not the CEO and the rest of the C-suite, but the CMO knew and signed off on it.
I once worked as a consultant on a small project with a large hotel chain with a Mormon background. Every detail was scrutinized by the CMO, rightfully so.

This was on here last week.
Either marketing pulled a fast one on corporate or corporate is throwing marketing under the bus
No matter how you slice it, they are trying to say “we fricked up” without accepting responsibility.

I thought this was already proven false?

“Too big to be wrong.”
They pushed the envelope too far and have a scapegoat. They’ll push it further in another 10 years, and this will seem mild in comparison. The whole industry is out there to drive division among the “regular” folks to drive up conversation about their products and expose “regular” people to what they feel they need to educate “us” about.
Buy local.

BL/A-B knew exactly what they were doing.

In a statement to Fox News, Anheuser-Busch, the manufacturer behind Bud Light, said that it “works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics and passion points.”
“From time to time, we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Dylan Mulvaney,” the statement read. “This commemorative can was a gift to celebrate a personal milestone and is not for sale to the general public.”

That marketing hack should have been fired if only for being so fricking clueless in her interview.

bullshite. Trying to pin this on a "rogue low level staffer" and wash their hands of it. Nobody is buying it...same with their shitty beer.

Sorry but someone at the senior level at my house filled my ice box with Landshark and has banned Bud light in the future.

We now live in a Post-Accountability world for the rich, the elite, & the poor. Only people in the middle class are ever held accountable for anything.

Land shark? It’s just a dolphin, ma’am.

They own Landshark too. If you're going to Boycott Bud Light, don't replace it with another AB product.

I read that DW article, and in it they report that Senior staff is considering suing over this. IF this is true and not just a PR cover, then this woke count is about to get rightfully fricked by The Man

True. There's a separate DW article where they state AB is still firmly behind this LARPING campaign. It sounds like AB and Bud are at odds. I'm eating some cern as I watch this drama unfold.

Vice President of Marketing isn't a low-level staffer.

Yet nobody has been fired.
Because all this shite was probably well thought out.
There's an angle here that hasn't revealed itself yet. I get the feeling AB knows something the rest of us don't.

They have identified the VP and posted video of her talking about it.
The issue is will AB have the stones to shite can her for costing the company Billions?
