No doubt. Would love to be a fly on a wall during any team interviews to hear what makes this guy tick and maybe understand his mindset and approach. It certainly appears he is leaving big bucks on the table with his lackluster prep/performance.

Too much good tape on him against elite college competition.

That was then. This is now.

Utter bullshite. He is on tape blocking his arse off during a season where he was rarely targeted. He has tape of being a dominant wr in a league that has the most nfl talent.

time will tell, NFL people look at players through different lenses than college and lay folk, a common theme I've heard from friends I've known that were pro athletes is that when they get to the pros they often hear comments from the NFL folks like "thank God we were able to get you here before those idiots got you killed or permanently injured!" and a lot of those were directed at Skip and how he abused pitchers

It's clear he underperformed in 2022-23 compared to what was expected of him. But it bothers me when people get on here claiming he quit on the team when there is tape of him blocking his arse off on running plays all year. That's not a sign of a wr that is checked out.
The coach's gave him a number that directly points to playmaking, leadership, and accountability.

I'm not claiming you're doing this.... I just hit respond.

He wont be drafted.

Not doing drills means there was no room for improvement and his combine numbers show he's not as atheltic as people thought. Add that to his poor tape and constant drops and it's not attractive. He's not cracking an NFL teams top 4 WRs and he doesnt play special teams, therefore there will be no place for him on a team in the NFL.

Which is why he wont be drafted.

I've heard plenty of stories about him being a good team mate all season. I think where things really went sideways with his perception was when he said he was coming back then declared for the draft shortly thereafter. My guess is he had academic issue but who knows. I think who he quit on was himself. He doesn't seem to have prepared himself at all for the combine and pro day which is amazing considering the impact this all has on his future and his family's future. It's honestly sad to watch.

I think it would be fair to say that there is conflicting evidence that one could cite in favor of either position. One could cite his blocking and Kelly's comments before the Florida game as he made great strides. One could cite his sitting out of "meaningless" games throughout the year, his demeanor against FSU, and his preseason dustup with Kelly as evidence of selfishness or bad attitude. I don't think anyone would be wrong to suggest that whatever his intangible concerns are, they are similar to his production concerns, in that there is both good and bad and enough to support either conclusion. Hopefully, for his sake, a team likes him and invests in him, and he fully capitalizes on it.

Boutte was moody and inconsistent.
Sometimes he blocked and sometimes he didn’t.
What more condemning is that sometimes he ran his routes and sometimes he didn’t.
Judge for yourself whether that’s important for an NFL WR …

Surprising. He needed to improve his 40 time

Sure. If he was working out and trying to improve it he would.

But he's a lazy gamer, who doesnt give a shite about football obviously.

What he doesnt realize is that NFL scouts want no part, and he will tumble in this draft.

Show me film of him not blocking. I've yet to see it. I've seen 2 different all 22 films and he never took a play off from blocking.

Except no there isnt. You have a rant created narrative that in no way is supported by any coaching comments or actions.
The rant saw that one route against FSU and JD talking to him on the sidelines, while having no clue what's being said, and then ran with him being a lazy and quitting malcontent.
