I liked Hunt Palmer on the broadcast for last night’s baseball game

I hope he joins the broadcast team more often.

BEN AND LYN!
I hate when Ben has to go to major leagues, I thoroughly enjoy listening to him

It's a shame Hunt's the 3rd option behind Doug and Buzzy.

I used to enjoy listening to games on the radio. You can't anymore. Hawthorne had his faults but was consistent with staying in tune with each pitch and keeping up with scores and surroundings. These guys don't start describing what's happening until the play is over.

He's too robotic to me. You can tell he's still getting used to calling games but maybe he gets better over time. He's knowledgeable about the game though. Interesting info he said about how they use trackman now instead of radar gun to calculate the speed of pitches. Does every team do this or just LSU?

I'm not sure what affect RR has on Lynn, but as good as
he is alongside Ben, he's that bad with RR. I feel forever dumber after listening them together. Hearing them trying to explain all the new rules during the Southern game was about as bad as it gets, they were zero for however many they tried to explain in accuracy.

Yeah, I really like Hunt whether he's doing games or on his radio show. How 104.5 doesn't have a 2 or 3 hour show with Hunt & Hanny is beyond my understanding. Those 2 together, especially during football season would be gold.

I completely agree...make Hanny and Hunt a thing.
The way 104.5 loves alliteration, I don't see how it hasn't happened already!

I would listen to this or at least add it to my podcast queue. Once Jordy left I stopped listening to anything on 104.5

Definitely not in his later years. He would be audibly bothered and disinterested every game by the 5th or 6th inning. And even before that he was pretty bad at calling baseball games. Not saying I'd rather listen to Doug and Buzzy FWIW.

Blair does this and it bothers the ever living shite out of me. Luckily I rarely have to listen to games without an accompanying video feed.
ETA: And Hunt rules. This is the job he was born to do.

No, I agree...I was mainly talking 90's and 20's.

Again, agree. If I had to listen to listen to them I would beat the ever living shite out of my radio.

That's probably Hunt's choice

I listen to all the baseball content Hunt does on his show. I like the weekly hit with Joe Healy.
And I agree he's good on the call with Chris Blair.

The color-guy is expected to provide color, insight, and analysis of the game being played.
Ben does it. Hunt does it.
Rantz has a Skip impersonation or a Rougarou / L’Auberge promotion.
So the commentary suffers.
