The other boys sports there seem to be doing pretty decent. Baseball is top 10 and basketball was 13 seed and made it to the second round. Hopefully Rohan gets the pieces in place to succeed! Goodluck!

Doesn’t Stanley Roberts coach the basketball team over there?

Rohan Davey

...is 2 weeks and 2 days from being 45 fricking years old.

Where does the time go, baws?

FFS, Rohan is a little older than Saban was when he started at Michigan State.

Regardless, congrats to the old bastard. He embodied the "warrior spirit" at the QB position for me, at least until #9.

Second former LSU tiger to coach at Ascension Christian. Brian Kinchen was head coach there for 2 years. 2010 and 2011.

After looking at their athletics account on twitter it seems it’s not Stanley coaching the basketball team.

They haven’t announced Rohan on any social media yet FWIW.

With a fourth Class 5A high school opening in Prairieville, Ascension Christian's not exactly a destination school for athletes, especially those with any size.

somehow J.T. and Dennis Dunn and LCA tracksuit pastor made it work...

Gonzales is not the metropolis of Shreveport, New Orleans or Lafayette. Only so many resources to go around four Class 5A schools.

That school is in a location where they could attract kids who can’t see the field at the 5A level… Those kids are solid at the 1A level

I can't say I expected that school to hire a black coach given its history.

So is Rohan going to stay with the flexbone? Or switch to the Wing-T? AC isn't going to be a spread 'em and shred 'em team with any success.
