Correct. Won't stop the conspiracy loons from trying to do their thing though.

Terrorism. Has to be. No other logical explanation.

Is there a reason the ones prior to east Palestine didn't make national news? Or was the internet just invented this year?

I don't think there's some grand conspiracy here. But I don't recall derailments getting talked about in the news this often.

I had this same thinking until I did a little research, from 2005-2021 there was an average of 4 train derailments/day in America.

Most don't cause entire towns to evacuate for extended amounts of time

although there was one in NW LA 2 weeks before Palestine that did cause a 5 mile radius evacuation for a day

the vast majority of derailments, the only chemical spills are diesel from the engines

Mine was based more on puns, than research.

Well this one isn't doing that either, yet here we are in a thread about it.

well that's because there are conspiracies floating around the internet now about derailments after Palestine

and media/twitter are capitalizing off of that

It was a pretty high profile incident because of the chemicals involved and the images it produced. Unfortunately, derailments happen a lot. They're just a high profile topic at the moment and the social media personalities have amplified it to conspiratorial levels.

East Palestine should have made more news.

The potential danger from it was worse than many others.

I did, which is why I asked why the internet existing is a valid response to why these are now s news worthy. That very obviously isn't the answer.

Does a train car coming off the tracks without a crash count? Because that would make sense. How many big crashes with cars falling over happen per year is what I would like to know. Surely that isn't a huge number.

sabotaging food factories,

Are you saying that this isn't happening?

The volume of incidences involving our food supply goes well beyond coincidence.

I'm sure you will be back here to eat your crow when our food supply dries up and you aren't prepared because you wanted to mock people instead of pulling your head out of your arse.
