College basketball is a joke. Yes, it’s exciting as a casual fan with no skin in the game. But “March Madness” success involves so much more than just being a great team.
It’s not crowing the best or deepest team, it’s crowning a winner of chaotic tournament of travel and quick turnarounds and sporadic seeding mixed in with terrible officiating (which can one off make or break any game by itself)
Any team can run into a buzz saw in one game. Any team can have a star player get in foul trouble in a single game. Any team can just go cold from the field in one game. None of it really means anything not in a series format
I feel bad for anyone who is a die hard college basketball fan, because it’s just truly not fun. Way better to casually watch games because then it’s fun as shite
Yeah, I agree with most of this. You need a talented team, but you also need a bunch of other things to fall in line to win it. Especially if a team is not a blue blood, which Gonzaga is not. I'm not the die-hard college basketball fan I used to be. With Boeheim now retired, my interest is very much at the casual level moving forward.

Also frick Gonzaga. Few is a little drunk bitch who hasn’t won dick. He said last year after we waxed them “we aren’t used to losing to teams like this”.
Well we’ve got 4 more FFs than you, a title and currently have 3 sweet 16s in a row compared to your 8. Can’t stand coaches like that.
He’s built a great program but they’re far from likebale. Drew Timme is most most obnoxious tool since laettner. You’d think he’d have learned after we owned his arse last year. But sure enough he was chest thumping after a dunk, down by 12 last night.

The hype over the team two years ago was annoying and I had an irrational hatred of Timme. But, Few is a good dude and Timme is really just a good ol baw from your local gym scrapping hard out there. I hope Few wins one at some point.
