He has ignored Trump's retarded ramblings for three months (which included insinuating he is a groomer), ripped the Soros DA and made one offhand comment about Trump's alleged affair in a press conference the other day, and FINALLY did ONE interview. This all coming from the guy who does interviews with Haberman, Axios, and Woodward, and they all make him look bad.

Gumbo or any of the reasonably smart Trump dudes could do a better job impersonating Trump jabs than Trump has done lately
It just seems forced right now, like he's trying to apply the old methods where they don't really work (and that's probably a challenge he'll face with Ron).
I think it's reasonable that Trump is going to try and paint him like this, but he's trying to hit Ron on a lot of areas that Trump himself is vulnerable on, and in a way that I don't think is going to seem very credible down the stretch.

Totally agree. I mentioned it a few weeks ago that he's a power pitcher who is seeing the MPH bleed off but who doesn't appear to be making any effort to transition to a wily old off speed/placement specialist.
