You’re being down voted because you have no idea of what you’re talking about. Nobody here wants to waste time trying to explain it to you because you people have proven that you don’t want the truth. You only want to believe what YOU feel is the truth and what MSM tells you to believe.

So you specifically don’t want European NATO members to be stronger and pull there weight?

He is not grasping at straws. This is indeed what Trump wanted. Not the war in Ukraine, but the taking on of more responsibility and costs for the defense of Europe by European countries.

Trump correctly pointed out that America is burdened with too much of the cost of defending Europe.

The twitter quote is just fake news.

Pull their weight?

Dude, we’ve spent over $100B and counting on Ukraine. From USA Today...

USA Today

US has spent billions on Ukraine war aid. But is that money landing in ...
Feb 19, 2023 — WASHINGTON – With more than $100 billion in U.S. weaponry and financial aid flowing to Ukraine in less than a year – and more on the way
As the second largest donor, the UK has committed £2.3 billion in military assistance to Ukraine so far and has pledged to match that assistance in 2023.

Almost every Nato country in Europe has passed significant increases in defense budgets. Everyone who has complained about Europes lack of commitment should stop complaining because Putin has single handily strengthened Nato. This is what Trump wanted remember.

New talking points are in, deploy the tactical bots.

I’m all for that and if the Russian bear gets them or some of them to do that, then great.

But we are still footing the lion’s share for Europe’s security. They’re a lot smarter than we are. Why wouldn’t they? When you know Uncle Sam will provide?

You make an excellent point. Europe appears to be standing up, even adding two new countries to NATO. This is good stuff. Let them stand united and deal with Russia, it's their threat on their side of the Atlantic ocean. According to everything I've read, NATO's military is more than capable of giving Russia all it could handle.

I have no problem with staging troops in Germany, Hungary, and Romania west of Bucharest. It's far enough to not threaten Russia, but close enough to defend Poland and the rest of NATO if Russia pushes their fight that far west.

It appears it's a little late for the EU faction of NATO to spend the necessary money for a military deterrent......Russia already invaded.
