The flagmans stand so he can wave the checkered flag as the Dodge Chargers race down MLK.

Went to the one in Houma once. Nothing but fat baws in PFG gear sucking cigs on the patio. Everyone acting like they were taking a waitress home.

There is one going up in Thibodaux that will open some time this summer since it is further along. The Thibodaux location will be in a weird location behind ChicFilA, but Houma location could be a gold mine.

Aldi is looking bust into Rouses home territory.

I also noticed on the East Side they finally tore down the old SaveAlot that Ida destroyed. Way before it was SaveAlot, it was a former Delchamps location. The shops in that shopping center remind me of the 1970’s with their oval windows.

Looking back before Ida, owners Ralph’s Markets and Butcher Boy bought 10 SaveAlots in Nola. The Advocate also reported that the Houma store was the 11th store to be purchased but the deal was expected to be closed in late July of 2021.

Speaking of economic development on the Bayou, Lynn’s Interiors is adding a store at Southland Mall in the former Sears location.

Also, behind MLK on Westside Boulevard, Terrebonne General is building a Wellness Arena, and a new open air shopping center called Belmont Place is going up near Westside Boulevard. The Houma Times had a few write ups on the new developments.

He ain't lying. It's a street in a newer part of town. Safest looking MLK Blvd. I've ever seen. Probably has a nice Sonic on it.

That's what that is? That's a dumb location. Right between rouses, L&N and walmart.
I thought that was going to be where the walk on is going

One in Thibodaux will be vacant in 18 months. It will not be competition for Rouses. Maybe Walmart.

Oh, and they fricking built it backwards.

Someone will pick it up at a bargain and have some prime mini storage.
