I’ve been a huge AccuWeather fan for years and it seems the latest update now wants me to pay a subscription for hourly forecasts and the new layout sucks IMHO. What are you fellow outdoorians using these days?

I was a wunderground user prior to AccuWeather but don’t remember why I changed. WeatherBug started out as spyware and I’m still holding that grudge 20 or so years later….

I have WeatherUnderground, and Storm.

Storm used to give good future radar prediction and lighting strikes proximity in real time. It was very useful.

About a month ago, Storm updated their app and now want you to pay for a premium subscription to get those same features. And you get an annoying pop up every time you open it to try to get you to upgrade.

I user MyRadar for real time, Wunderground + Weatherbug for hourly wind predictions, and Windfinder for long term predictions.

If two of Wunderground / Weatherbug / Windfinder is in agreement I feel pretty confident in the prediction.

Windy
We don’t have radar here except at high altitude. This has been the most reliable for me. With the paid subscription you can access remote weather stations.

For Radar - Radar Scope is the best I've found.

It's a live look at whatever radar station you want to choose.
A FedEx pilot told me about it years ago. It's what he used.

It's an initial $9 (at least it was at the time). I've had if for years.

Yeah f all that. I get they’re the source for all other forecasts but their format has always sucked.

Weather Underground has a good weekly forecast layout, but radar sucks.

AccuWeather has a good radar.

So I use both.

Windfinder for hunting and fishing. Very accurate on winds especially within 48 hrs.

I pay an annual subscription for RadarScope and used to couple that with Windy.

As an aside, I found myself criticizing the app for accurate weather conditions. Severe thunderstorms all day at the lake? Damn weather app is really screwing up my fishing.

I haven't found a single weather app that I like. Most are a terrible design and chock full of ads that render and jump the screen.
