Why Don't The Saints Put A Premium On The TE Position?

It's gotta be pretty easy to find a Travis Kelce or Kittle just laying around somewhere. Why in the hell don't they scour the edges of the earth to come up with someone? Even Jimmy Graham was a one trick pony.

Juwan Johnson is cheap and effective + the saints cant just print money to sign a top-tier Tight End when we only have one DT on the roster.

People are bitching about Juwan but he very well might be a Waller clone. Former WR, takes a ton of snaps outside of the line for his routes. You never know.

every scouting report Ive seen post-season talks about the strides hes made as a blocker, and hes a red zone nightmare already. He's going to blow up with Carr under center.

TE is almost as expendable as RB. They just don’t impact the game the same way as they used to. Are they important? Absolutely. But finding a good one that can block AND catch is hard and there aren’t very many good ones out there.
Also, unlike RB, TEs take a while to find their footing and make an impact. The only other position that comes close is DT or DE. Guys like Gronk and Graham and Kelce are complete outliers. And he’ll, it took Kelce a few seasons to figure it out too

I'm watching the combine again and Kuntz absolutely killed the combine. I'm surprised he's not being talked about more. He's a freak athlete and almost 6'8

I agree. Our scouting department for TE's suck. Its alw good to have a TE that can catch and be reliable. It helps out the run and the pass. With no TE, you cant run.
