Zero surprise knowing the things their management team virtue signaled.

According to Vivek Ramaswamy, this is not unrelated to why they got a govt bailout

In a just world SVB and any mega corporations that donate to the modern "terroristic" causes would be de-rated instead of promoted for "esg" marxist causes.

The 189 billion in deposits and then sat on a good bit of it probably had more to do with the failure than the 74 million they pissed away

The bank isn’t being bailed - mgmt and equity was wiped. Depositors are being kept whole. And this dude doesn’t think bank panic and systemic risk was THE reason? He’s playing to the tards.

It's a bailout, stop with the mental gymnastics

Let’s, for the purposes of this dumb thread, accept your claim as true, the bank (mgmt, shareholders) being woke did not save their arse. And, again, you have to pass all kinds of obvious gargantuan reasons to get to cuz it was woke. It’s retarded.

And now you know why Biden stepped in without congressional authority and guaranteed protection of accounts. Just a reminder , in 2008 banks were allowed to fail. Likewise , during savings and loan crisis in the late 80’s, banks were allowed to fail.

So a ton of uber rich tech guys that left lots of cash in SVB took the risk of leaving over $250,000 in one account and will now get all their $ back.
Privatization for Profits. Socialism for losses.
