Call me whatever you want; it’s zero skin off my nose.
“Traitor?” Have at it.
Being American doesn’t crack the top five, in terms of order of importance of my priorities/allegiances.

1. God
2. Family
3. Texas
4. Friends
5. University
6. Church
7. Local community
8. Country
9. Rest of the world
10. Job/occupation

Ok, now do Washington DC. Tell me how the Executive and Congressional branches and their bureaucracies uphold the constitution and American ideals.

Btw, you sound like an abusive spouse, "if I can't have you, no one will!"

Hells bells and cheese curls when the vast majority of seccessionists find out that Ron Desantis and that dude from Texas is going to "allow" them to "invest" their social security and Medicare in the stock market and they realize the risk they would be exposed to they will do anything to remain with California and New York. They will like the idea initially....watch 'em come out against this post....but when they found out their nest egg was wiped out by some decision made in Saudi Arabia they will take to the streets with pitchforks, torches, tar and feather. But watch them defend the idea in theory here in a minute....

So you’re fine with 7 out 67 counties controlling the political power in a state? See New York State. Aren’t the conservatives being (D)isenfranchised by this? What if those seven were red? But that would be (D)ifferent. Right?

Counties do not vote...people vote. The same applies to the maps where a small sliver of each coast is blue and the vastness of the US is red and conservatives, apparently mathematically challenged, offer that as proof that most Americans are conservative republicans. If acres were allowed a vote they'd have a point. I say we allow any acre which can fill out an absentee ballot access to elections....

Secession is a natural extension of the libertarian movement. If you can stomach it, and be forewarned it ain't pleasant, listen to either a libertarian or a seccessionist's plan for the future and ask questions. Let the conversation last long enough and you will find that the other side has explained how they would recreate every institution and tenet of the United States as it exists today with the the added bonus of its creation being their creation. They won't leave ANYTHING out...it will be a mirror image of the US in its current manifestation.

What both seccesionists and libertarians are is self identified victims of a unheard and unseen individual with an over inflated sense of self. They have stared into the abyss and concluded that they could do better even though most of them can't figure out a doctors bill let alone their own retirement.

Like a 'haughty/superior minded' woman who rejects a potential lover's offer, it's a person blow and blatant show of disrespect to their innate ego. There has been a lot of killing re this psychological dynamic. Slap in the face does that to those who believe they (their ideas) are superior.

its not 1861. the division is by zip code.

correct, the time was then, the country was not so entangled then, now we have all these social programs, national debt to divide, ohio is more conservative than Georgia now there isn’t an ideological pure map that resembles 61. I used to be my hearts in dixie but for the country and the world it’s maybe best the south lost, now i’m not so sure.

Take a look at which states have the largest GDP. Take a look at which states are most dependent on the federal government.

The only red states that are worth a damn from a production standpoint are Texas and Florida and both of those states are damn near purple and would never secede.

If MS, LA, AL, AR wanted to create their own nation - strictly from a production standpoint - the US government would say "Great, we are much better off. Those states were a negative to us financially. They took way more from us than they provided."

You think you're going to be able to create a map that cuts out big cities? Cool. Follow link below and tell me which of these counties are going to join your new country? Then tell me how in the world your new country is going to be able to support itself without the vast majority of these cities.
