D-1 (NCAA) baseball team stats as on 3/2/23:
ERA 35th
BA. 53rd
Not overly impressive per our schedule thus far. Many SEC teams ahead of us like Tenn and Bama. I hope we are just getting warmed up and healthy again.

Another fun fact:
LSU has lost one game and remains number 1 in every poll.

Yeah, they are so slow at updating their stats.

This is really meaningless at this point.
75% of our games have been tinker games, where Johnson is toying with subs, line-up changes, and pitching.
What matters is that LSU is 9-1, ranked #1, and passes the eye test.
And honestly, our offensive stats will improve in the coming weeks. Alex Box plays differently in March than in February(those fly ball/warning track shots are home runs now)

How many games has our starters even played the whole time? Very dumb to even care about stats to this point in time.

LSU’s 22 run win over CCSU is ranked tied for 13th highest win margin so far this season. Highest so far is 29 runs.
LSU is
14th in total runs. (110)
17th in hits/game allowed (3.4)
3rd in errors/game (.3)

LSU's team batting average is .333 and if you take out 3 guy who aren't going to throw any meaningful innings the rest of the season LSU' team ERA is 1.88.
I couldn't give a rat's arse where those numbers rank.

Bama hasn’t played a single D1 school

Your stats at a more granular level of analysis show that they can win with pitching and gorilla ball if you take into context their record and actually watch the games. But the concern troll is noted.

stats as on 3/2/23
So—in a terrible thread, regardless—you have posted stats from an already small sample size to draw too many conclusions, but you’ve actually drawn them from stats that don’t include the last 2 games, in which we’ve scored 12 and 26 runs, respectively.
You’d have just been stupid if you had made this thread on Thursday, but making it today makes you really stupid. And kind of an a-hole.
ETA—you should retitle your thread to “Friday Fun Facts” if you insist—wrongly—on thinking you’re being clever with the ironic use of “fun” paired with stats you don’t understand, thinking they said something they didn’t, you could at least use the attention-grabbing alliteration.
But more importantly, while still an a-hole thread, it would at least have been “factually” accurate before our game Friday. These facts are not accurate on Sunday. In fact, they’re not even facts. Be better.

ERA and BA are overrated in baseball. It’s all saber metrics now

Fun fact, LSU scored 51 runs this weekend.

Your title is a lie. There’s nothing fun in your OP at all.
