Why narrow it down?

Does anyone think that we need more lawyers?

People pursue this profession because they are attracted to the idea of making money by bullshitting people.

Ist year law students might be naive enough to think they will be standing up for what is right, but a deeper study of the profession demonstrates that at its highest level, influence trumps righteousness.

Look at the US Supreme Court. 9 lawyers look at the same US Constitution, the same set of facts, and have access to the same case law. Yet they still end up with 5-4 decisions. Political influence tips the scales. Outside the USSC, the winner still out influences the other side.

Can someone tell me what area of law is actually honorable?

Definitely astronomers. What, if any, deadlines do they produce for? Sailors no longer rely on this for navigating. What marketable skill is this? It boggles the mind.

Guy that went door to
Door trying to sell life insurance. Every time he met a new person just hanging out, they would haul arse once they knew what he did.

An Amway person.
