Lol. Dude, you of all people know what’s coming now.

I have my adult beverage ready and am looking forward to the laughs.

I'm in Richmond, VA. I should be able to identify as Thomas Jefferson by the time I get to Charlottesville.

Irrelevant. Universities hire on people to teach that have significant real world experience all the time even though they don't have PhDs, or hell sometimes don't have any degree at all.

You seriously think they hired her for her real world experience?

Reddit has rotted your goddamn brain

Is she going to teach a course in how to lose an un-loseable house seat?

Professor Cheney. She doesn’t even have a PhD

She’s clinical (i.e., “professor of practice”); not a tenured or tenure-track research professor. I’m not familiar with a non-doctoral degree holding instructor receiving the title of professor. That’s … odd.

I’m not disparaging anyone who falls under the category she does, just scratching my head at her situation.

Absolutely agree.
But they’re instructors, not professors.

Would be hilarious if she gave the “we talking bout practice” speech on the first day of class

UVA was founded by Jefferson and Madison and they bought land owned by James Monroe to build it. None of those three dudes would approve of Liz Chaney.

Where?

It was pretty common at Ohio State, Penn State, and Northwestern.

UVA alumni should revolt at this political pandering by the administration.

Wait she's still in Virginia? I thought she was from Wyoming. Surely she would have gone on "home" after being removed from Congress. /sarcasm.

Professor?

That’s a finite achievement with a specific operational definition.
After earning my PhD I spent years as a tenure-track Assistant Professor … before achieving tenure (my current appointment as as Associate Professor).
I’ll be fortunate to ever achieve the rank of full Professor.

Professors (all ranks) are tenured or tenure-track, whereas lecturers teach at universities.
That’s what Cheney is doing.

She will make I'm guessing around 500k a year teaching.

The democrats are amazing at protecting their people.

And it's right out in the open.
