How the frick you "lock in" a guillotine while laying on top of a dude sitting against a fence?

Jones is an unbelievably talented person.

Watching him fight heavyweight will be a lot of fun.

The GOAT returned tonight.

probably the same exact way that Conor McGregor "knocked out" Cowboy Cerrone with a shoulder check a few years ago

who really knows what's going on ... but just saying.... all of these conveniently, "best for business" outcomes in the UFC are VERY suspicious.

Stipe didn't seem to do so well articulating his thoughts in that interview. Has he always been that way? CTE is a thing

no problem...

in 2018, the NFL heavily invested and promoted the Los Angeles, California market. they moved a team from St. Louis to Los Angeles, and then rigged a playoff game in order to get them into the Super Bowl.

case and point below:

integrity of the game and player safety be damned! that Los Angeles market needed to be in the Super Bowl!

No doubt the ufc makes matchups to promote who they think will sell. They probably have some type of analytical software to help them judge how certain fighters would do against others.

This is exactly why jon jones fights never sell…

All that buildup, just to rag doll that French fruitcake and then submit him unceremoniously in half a round

Just watched the Jones-Gane finish again. Even Cormier and Rogan were initially perplexed what Gane tapped to.

I was incorrect in that it does look like Gane tapped to a guillotine choke, not a strangle. Gane had his left arm between Jones and himself to create space as well as a right hand between Jones' elbow. So there was no risk in losing blood flow; however, Jones had Gane's arm trapped to prevent a guillotine defense and I'm sure his throat was being crushed like a mf, so Gane essentially tapped to the pain and to prevent his windpipe from being crushed any further (obviously he never went out).

My larger point, though, was leading toward the fact the women's fight just prior ended in a very similar fashion.

BTW, here's a link to finish for those who missed it live:

I don’t know who they are going to put out to face Jones and expect to have a competitive fight.

Getting Frances back is the only possibility. Even then, I think Jones would be a heavy favorite.

Came close to buying this card. Glad I didn’t. Watched the entire card on Tic Tok. 10 different people were showing it for free.

Funny you use this argument when it suits you.
Why did they have Valebtina lose? How did all those belts change hands last year?
And you use Conor, how did they "let" him lose 3 of his last four fights.
