pretty good card.

Interested to see how jones looks at heavyweight. He sounded extremely confident he would ragdoll gane. gonna be interesting to see if gane can keep the fight standing and/or if jon even wants to try and wrestle. jon sometimes prefers to fight his opponents strength.

cant imagine grasso having anything for valentina.

gamrot turner should be a great fight.

geoff neal should be a good test for rakhmanov

crazy to see a guy coming off contender with a 3-0 record to start a ppv main card. wish the odds were better this is probably a guaranteed win ufc wouldnt put him up against someone they think he would lose to in this spot.

Jones is maybe the dirtiest in-ring fighter in UFC history, and an open cheater, but damn he puts on a good PR face in these videos and interviews and you just want to see him win, and I don't know why.

It's astounding actually at how much charm he has and he knows it.

Exactly. That's the point. I know he's a piece of shite yet he can still charm the masses.

Sure bones has been practicing his “accidental” eye poke form

Rampage Jackson gave a great interview recently talking about how dirty Jones is in the ring.

He said as soon as anyone starts to get a little dominance or figure something out on Jones during a fight, then out come the eye pokes and oblique kicks to stop the momentum.

Rampage said he still can't get out of a low sports car without cussing Jon Jones for fricking up his knee. He said that kick should be outlawed.

Also look at where his elbows land a lot... The back of the head.

He's the dirtiest fighter ever

Sucks that every thread about this fight turns into a shite on Jones thread

Dirty fighter or not, He is the goat

Anybody else see how USADA changed their rules/testing levels & with the updated rules he would have never failed a drug test??

I think he is a psychopath. Wouldnt surprise me to find out he is a serial killer or something crazy at some point.

Also chael did an interview with the in my moms basement guy and alluded to jones banging both holly holm and valentina.

Valentina inside the distance at -130 is the best bet to take this fight

Chael is out there this week doing some incredible self-promotion.

He has hit Helwani, Barstool, and Andrew Schultz podcast all in a two day span.

He's also dropping some great bombs and basically saying that Gane is basically a tomato can and John is going to destroy him by grappling.

He is also double and tripling down on the Valentina, Holm, Jones love triangle angle that the UFC should be selling and that Valentina should embrace her "heel" true persona to sell more fights.

Here's 20 min of everything he has been saying all week:

I feel like valentina is a psychopath also. I know she could have finished some chicks alot quicker but chose instead to savagely beat them up. I think she gets off on dominating other women.

Anybody catch Sergei Pavlovich had to make weight this week as a "backup" for the HW belt match?

Shows how much faith Dana has in Jones not to frick up fight week.

Pav is also the Russian Ngannou. He has absolute fricking concrete in his hands.

We've got some of the "experts" picking Gane

quote:

I know I'll be in the minority here, but I see Jones' heavyweight debut ending in one heck of a shock. Gane catches him and doesn't relent till it's over.

Gane by TKO, Rd. 2

quote:

Here, I thought I'd be the only one. Make no mistake, I agree with everything written about Jones and his all-time legacy. He's as good as there's been. But I believe Gane's a special heavyweight. And, as Tom suggested, I think he'll catch Jones with a decisive shot before Jones can get it to the floor. Inactivity matters. Quality opposition matters. New weight classes matter. Put it all together, and it's an upset.

Of course, if Jones locks him up and ends it in one himself, we never had this conversation.

Gane by KO, Rd. 1

Those descriptions would make more sense if he were fighting Ngannou.
Gane is someone that works the opponent first and then finishes them in the later rounds.

No i was about to but had too much going on with work. I was hoping to catch ufc 288 but they did it in new jersey instead and I dont really want to go to jersey. Thought about miami but they want $500 for the cheapest ticket which is outrageous. Maybe if they drop the price.
