In a time where the fastest paced team in the league would be near dead last in pace in today’s game.

It’s also weird to chose Barkley, when after he hit his 30’s he had only one season where he played more than 70 games(71 to be exact, one time), and averaged around what the top 20 in mpg today average. So he played about the same minutes in his 30’s as the top 20 today in mpg today, missed at least a dozen games on average, but with less pace and fewer possessions per game.

They also beat one another up for 4 quarters. Not just run to the other side and chunk up a 3.

So? That’s how the coaches choose to play. Doesn’t mean we should change anything

Technology has vastly improved training methods and the overall quality of today’s athlete, at least that’s what I’m told when anyone tries to glorify the 90’s. These pro athletes can handle it.
