Bannon's been calling him out for months as a wavering fraud not to be trusted, especially with Twitter. Now this with Newsome?

It's Elon's subliminal way to keep Texas red. Cali is already a lost cause.

Then you are a fool. Elon has made Twitter better, but the gigafactory in China is Elons bread and butter. He has to play nice. And he does.

They should. He's a multi-billionaire who has never done a damn thing for his own people, white South Africans who are continually being brutally murdered while the SA govt. is complicit.

At first I read it at Brandon and upvoted. Then second glance saw you sad Bannon and gave you the down vote you deserved.

I don't trust anybody.

As for Elon, I like some of the things he pushes but I can't get past his Neuralink program. I don't think we should be connecting brains to computers.

Thats exactly how I feel. Trust for people like that is always easily lost. Elons neural thing should have everyone on guard about his intent, naturally. But it doesn't seem to.

The decision certainly brings him closer to the TWITTER facility.

TESLA engineering would appear to be a forward focussed group that is served by being physically apart from operations. Three years ago when ground was broken for the mega plant in south Austin , all of the companies engineering focus would have been in Austin . Now that it is going into operation, removing those engineering personnel was necessary to focus on the next growth area.

They do not say how many people, maybe 200.

Locating in California? Access to emergent tech, contractors, travel west to Asia, Repair deals with state govt, cheap office rent

Are you conflating a business press conference between a CEO and governor with some sort of we’re on the same team politically statement?

i posted this on another thread, but it's worth repeating... elon is a real liberal, and not a radical fascist, police-hating, censorship loving freak, who actually creates boatloads of good jobs and stimulates economies and does a whole lot of good for society. i wish all liberals were like him

is he going to agree with the diehard conservatives all the time? hell no. i don't know why anyone thinks that. he even admitted he is a liberal, but the liberals have become crazy radicalized recently, so he doesn't agree with a lot of their views. why anyone expects him to somehow support conservatives or every conservative policy is beyond me. he is a very intelligent, pragmatic individual who has done more positive for economies and the advancement of humans than most conservatives

regarding the neuralink... yes, it may be concerning, but on a personal level, i have family members who are physically disabled and can't walk, and the fact that this may help them walk again, is very encouraging. that's all i'll say right now without knowing a ton about it

Simple, "they" got to Elon. See: James O'Keefe as well, if you go to hard/get too much reaction by calling out the system you are not simply "on the list", you get elevated to active discipline.

They'll eventually work it down to the balance of us & they are working up the "personal files" on all of us now.

I can see all of the potential good, yeah. I'm not staunchly against the idea altogether. It's just one of those things that seem like playing with fire for all I know about it. I'm a conservative, after all. Change isn't something I like unless it can be proven to be good and useful to us all.

The simple fact is that we know nothing. We don’t know what Elon’s plans are for much of anything.

The positive from this is that it hopefully gets some Libs out of Texas.

Twitter has been great, but as someone mentioned, if Elon is a classic liberal, then he simply believes in freedom of speech and isn’t a fascist leftist.

Pretty simple really. Newsome is going to run for President in 2024. He's got to act like he gives a shite about being a governor until then. I'm sure he offered an insane amount of tax breaks to Tesla to act like his garbage arse state can bring in jobs like TX and FL

I don't trust either, but Elon is pandering to the right to get them to pay for blue checks as a way to "own the libs, show the corrupt media that the blue checks are for everyone" and we are falling for it left and right. Dude is a liberal and will tell you straight up that he is a liberal, its all a marketing ploy.

1)Get right wingers back on twitter by unbanning people and promising all these changes

2) convince them to finance the bad investment I was more or less forced to make after trying for months to back out of the deal
