Sometimes I wonder if you're just a parody account. I hope so because the alternative is very unflattering for you

quote:Hey y'all. Just an update. The sea level stopped rising. We're still high and dry this morning. Wheeew!
I was on the beach at 2pm today. Just got back from walking the dog on the beach this evening.
The ocean rose 6ft in just that short time between 2PM and 8:30PM !!!
AOC says that by tomorrow our whole island might be underwater. Hank Johnson says it might even tip over. Al Gore says the science is settled, and not only are we going to flood, but the water that floods us will be boiling. It's very very scary. The waves are loud. The wind is blowing. Help!
I texted AOC about it. She says,
"It's like a total like miracle." She told me, "Like you're sooo lucky. Like wow." She also told me that she like knows this guy 'tarzana,' and that "he's like a genius on like coastal islands and stuff," and he could like advise me on this situation.

if CO2 is only 0.04% of the atmosphere and according to NASA
"The concentration of carbon dioxide in Earth’s atmosphere is currently at nearly 412 parts per million (ppm) and rising. This represents a 47 percent increase since the beginning of the Industrial Age, when the concentration was near 280 ppm, and an 11 percent increase since 2000, when it was near 370 ppm."
since it is parts per million, this seems like really small numbers. How does this increase in CO2 from 280 ppm to 412 ppm trap so much heat that it poses such a great danger to earthlings?

How disturbing is it that some people of political influence (looking at you, Hank Johnson (D-Ga.)), think that island floats and could tip over.

Erosion and sea level rise are not the same.

In typical tarzana fashion, he pops in to mumble some DU talking points, is immediately countered with data and facts, showing how fricking stupid a slap-dick he is, and disappears, never to return to the thread.
Yet he will resurface soon, in another thread, and with the same amount of righteous fervor and conviction, spout another DU bullshite talking point.
It's why I hate him so much. He's the problem with this country, and there are way to many of him.

Damn, Tarzana, I always knew you were a bit of a moron, but this level of uninformed stupidity is pretty shocking.
Please tell me you are aware of geological forces such as subsidence and erosion, as well as uplift and alluvial depositing.
Far too many big words for Tarzana to comprehend. Way beyond that one's reading level, and it gets easily confused.

It doesn’t.

quote:no it's not, it's proof of erosion and settling on the Louisiana coast you fricking retard.
Well, the Louisiana Gulf Coast parishes have lost more than 1,000 square miles of land surface since 1980. That's proof positive of rising seas.

Not only do tides go up and down several feet a day in a lot of places, every shoreline that is not rocks has its beaches shuffled around constantly. Waves vary in height wave-by-wave as they roll in and out.
This happens in literally 10[s of thousands of combinations around the world but the climate "scientists" can tell you when the oceans rise an inch.
The sealevel doesn't seem to change where it meets buildings and rocks.

I don't believe the alarmist crap from eco-terrorist, but please tell me you aren't basing your argument on the comparison between an artist's painted depiction of Liberty Island and a recent photo of the same island?
