Anthony Don Mitchell, 33, arrived at a hospital emergency room with a body temperature of 72 degrees and was pronounced dead hours later, according to the lawsuit. He was brought to the hospital on Jan. 26 from the Walker County Jail, where he’d been held for two weeks.

Dude was held in a holding cell for two weeks, naked, with no bed, blanket, or toilet. Just a bare concrete floor. Apparently, he was tazed, and put in a walk-in freezer at some point. The jailer who leaked video, that ended up garnering public notice, was fired immediately. The doc at the hospital that he was brought to, stated that he was treated for hypothermia and had a rectal temp of 72 degrees! On a sidenote, bootlickers are defending the sheriff.

They will be here shortly to do the same or even praise the jailers.

Yeah, I saw the video where they were toting him out to the car and loading him up. Those cops are fricked.

Crazy how they thought they could get away with that.

Even though he sounds like a possible president assasin, that's fricked up and all involved should be fired and prosecuted.

Doctor: “Ah yes, that’s what’s wrong with him. His a-hole is too cold. Here try this hot hands and give me a call tomorrow.”

your occasional reminder that it's the >95% of bad law enforcement giving the <5% of good law enforcement a bad name

These three right here combined wouldn't make the field in a third world country tournament.

Small town I assume? It’s unbelievable how much authority the sheriff is given in small towns.

I moved away in 1999. When I was a kid, there were hunting clubs in South AL, that wouldn't let you join if you were from Walker County.

The guy was a mental health patient with some serious problems. In Alabama, the most likely result for him is the locals will throw him in jail. If he does end up in a facility it will only be for a few days and then back on the streets.

Not defending the actions of Walker County Sherriff's office at all....

But I couldn't imagine dealing with all those Walker County meth heads on a daily basis.

LOL! Tell me about San Francisco, NY, or LA! Do they even pick them up in those places?
