and I thought Johnny Jones's last year was it, it's blowing my mind how bad this team is

and how do you go from 12-1 with a victory against arkansas at the beginning of SEC play to 12-14 with no SEC wins thereafter, how could a team regress this significantly?

Worst LSU basketball team I have ever seen. Similar to the last JJ team, but worse to me.

I used to see some fricking studs playing ball at the UREC back in undergrad.

I legit think a UREC 10 man all star team can beat this basketball team

Should have kept Wade and let the NCAA give LSU the death penalty after this yr.

Double digit home loss to a 9 win conference bottom dweller.

How much worst can it get?

Nobody gets death penalty anymore

The NCAA knows it is on the way out in football and basketball

There were some teams in the 30s who had entire rosters of players who couldn’t touch the rim. That would be it though.

Nosedives like this, I think, are indicative of locker room issues. Of course, coaching plays a role but at some point regardless of coaching or anything else sometimes a locker room becomes toxic for whatever reason or reasons.

Just curious, what LSU teams that you have seen were worse if they aren't close to being the worst?

12-15, 1-13 SEC.

Today was probably the worst game played by an LSU team in my lifetime. Just brutal.

Well, let's go forth and lose the next two games, and set the LSU record for consecutive losses. This team is trash

Thank heavens for LSU baseball--stop the insanity.

It's the worst. Johnny Jones' last season and the Trent Johnson teams were better than this. Cruel and unusual punishment for fans in attendance today

It's completely normal for a first year coach to lose 14+ straight. They all do it. It's impossible to be remotely competitive in your first year. Or so I'm told.

Try 1966 team. Pete’s freshman season. Traffic jam leaving cow palace after varsity game before freshman game.

I've been watching LSU basketball since 1977. This is clearly the worst team I've seen in that span. At least in Johnny's last year, we had some serious talent. He just couldn't coach and or motivate them.

I agree 100% that we need to cut bait with MacMahon YESTERDAY. Despite all the pearl clutchers riding on their high horses, and no matter what forde, pricky v and gay Bilas have to say about it, we need to hire Beard if he'll come here. There's just too much potential in this program to not capitalize on it. Think what Baylor is doing or better. That can be LSU with a winner at the helm.
