That’s insane. The pitching consistency we have is even better than the 1990’s when LSU was dominating Omaha

Any pitcher who is still throwing 98 mph at nearly 100 pitches in the game is on a different level

They probably will, but I doubt it’s more than 5-10 games

I’m hung up on that 94mph 2 seamer that ran 19”. Big Ben couldn’t stop gushing over that thing.

And that 19” was from one side of the plate to the other. That’s insane

People always say velo isn’t everything. But the first thing the scouts do is pull out a radar.

They will lose easily 10+ which is fine as long as they don’t lose the last one!

Aaron Nola himself didn’t have an exploding 2-seamer like Paul’s when he was in school. it had a similar range of movement, but didn’t jump on guys like this. once Paul shakes the winter rust off and starts painting corners, the sky is the limit

Loved his leadership on the field. Especially when Tre was late throwing the ball to him covering first.

We weren’t dominating in the 90’s because of consistent pitching

That kind of velocity will dominate college baseball. People forget it’s still amateur baseball. Guy is already throwing like a big leaguer.

He needs to develop more of his offspeed arsenal, but yeah, he's got MLB Allstar potential.

I remember watching the first two pitches at 99 and it didn’t look like he was really trying.

If he dominates, it wont be because he throws 99, itlll be that, plus location, plus movement. There are plenty of guys who can throw 99 that get hit around. But yeah, he’ll overmatch weaker hitters with it
