Buyers Remorse ?

Honestly I don't know much about the credibility of this guy, but he says this.
Alan Shipnuck, the man that wrote the most read golf volume in 2022, has indicated that Brooks Koepka may have “buyer’s remorse.”
As revealed yesterday, in the latest round of #AskAlan, written for The Fire Pit Collective, the author of “Phil: the Rip-Roaring (and Unauthorized) Biography of Golf’s most Colorful Superstar” reveals that the four-time major winner is “supposedly rethinking his career choice.”

Brooks loves attention more than anything. Currently, he’s not getting much, if any.

I wonder what it would look like if some of them want to come back. Will they be suspended for a while? Will they have to qualify at Q school and Korn Ferry tour?

Look, I am certain the LIV guys love the money, so people can save the “I’m sure they are weeping away their tears with money” remarks
But I guarantee playing in front of shite crowds and having the sports world compeltely ignore them absolutely kills them. They wouldn’t be human if it didn’t. That adrenaline they have had for years is gone. That’s one of the worlds best drugs, and they quit it cold turkey
I mean they are playing on a near empty golf course somewhere the last two weeks or nowhere at all while the WM has 150K and Riviera is slammed this week as well

LIV will be dead in 2-3 years. PGA is king, I’m just hoping this fuels changes in how the PGA markets its players and tournament coverage.

That's the thing I was thinking about. The manufactured excitement and passion on LIV has to kill them. I wonder if being able to play the majors will be enough for them to have it both ways though

Then again, he may not. Who knows?
Excellent reporting on this one.

I was thinking about that watching the end of the first round yesterday of the genesis.
The end of the first round with Tiger, Rory, and JT in a tournament in February got more attention than any amount of LIV golf so far. That’s gotta burn guys like Cam, DJ, and Brooks who could be out there still.

Looks like LIV suffered a legal setback last night.
Judge ruled against LIV claim of sovereign immunity for the Saudi investment group.
Opens up more discovery.

I'd be interested in how a guy would go about breaking a LIV contract to go back to the PGA. A guy could end up catching the dead by breaking a deal with the Saudis.

Like the PGA paying 911 survivor families to protest at LIV Events

I genuinely had no clue they had played any events in 2023

Probably so and most probably went knowing they were going to come back anyway. They can’t prevent them from returning so they’ll be back. PGA is suck butt right now its so freaking boring. The Pebble Beach was horrible it was so boring this year.

The Pro-Am?
I mean, it was infinitely more entertaining than any LIV event. Full Swing is reminding half of the LIV guys what they’re missing out on. I know cash is king, but the top tier of the LIV community probably has buyers remorse and would love to be on tour again. A bit more money and no one remembers your career long term or return to the tour and be written down in the record books?

Yes, the pro am used to be slightly entertaining. I’ve not watched any LIV events so i wouldn’t know. They’ll all be back to the PGA sooner rather than later. Can’t prevent them from coming back.

Would not be a problem for most all of them. Brooks Koepka would destroy the KF tour.

Tell me about the ratings the last two weeks vs any LIV event.

I thought this was going to be a thread about a 9 wood or a silver plated push cart.

Brooks is the biggest douche on tour. His full swing episode was excruciating.
You know it’s bad when Ian Poulter seems like a cool dude instead of you.
Give me guys like Homa, JT and Dahmen all day.
And to be honest, I blame no one for going to LIV. It’s lame and I hope it dies but these guys should be making a lot more money than they do.
It’s a fricking joke you win the Masters and get 2.6M dollars in 2022. Should be at least 10 and probably 20.
Win the masters and after taxes you can buy a normal house for your family in Dallas, congratulations on winning the most prestigious tournament in the history of golf that generates billions.
A dude like Dahmen has 3 pro wins, 2 major top 10s and he lives in a mediocre house in Scottsdale while his caddie basically lives in a Trailer in Idaho. Nice job PGA.

His wife seems like the classic gold digger. More eager than pretty.
