US temperature data suggest CO2 does NOT cause warming.

Tony Heller over at realclimatescience.com has provided open source python script that accesses NOAA raw temperature data. This is the raw temperature data that climate scientists start with. If you plot the raw temperature data from the time they started gathering the temperature data (circa 1895) the US temperature data clearly shows a downward trend over time. Here are some output charts:
First CO2 concentration over time. There is no dispute that CO2 concentration in the surface level atmosphere has increased over the last 100+ years:
Now for the temperature data from NOAA. The blue line is the yearly average temperature, the red thick line is the 5 year moving average and the red dotted line in the linear trend line of all data. First the average mean temperature data:
This is the average minimum temperature data for each year.
This is the average maximum temperature data for each year:
This is the average daily temperature range by year:
Note from the last graph over time we are seeing a tighter range between daily highs and lows. This temperature behavior is becoming more temperate. This is expected with a greening earth. There is a direct correlation with CO2 and earthly greening. Plants love CO2. With more CO2 we have more photosynthesis which leads to more atmospheric water vapor. Water is the biggest energy capacitor in our atmosphere. With more atmospheric heat capacity you would expect to see a more temperate data set. That is exactly what we see in the raw NOAA temperature data.
Increased CO2 concentrations are not leading to more extreme climate events. In fact extreme climate events are at record lows. Hurricane frequencies are normal to below normal. Recorded forest fire burn acreage is WAY down. Sea level rise is not accelerating. It following the normal trend since the last ice age. And on and on.
One could argue that increased CO2 levels are beneficial to human standard of living around the world. It simply help plants grow which feeds the world.

I have been telling people for a decade that when you examine ice core data, you find that CO2 is consistently a lagging indicator of previous warming rather than a driver of warming. Atmospheric CO2 increased as a lagging indicator of the end of the mini ice age. When it stopped warming, natural CO2 stopped increasing a few decades later.

It is still unclear if humans have any effect on climate change, however it is clear that the avg temperature has increased worldwide by 1.1 degrees C since 1900.
It is also clear that more carbon particles in the atmosphere prevent the suns rays from reflecting back into space (thicker atmosphere). It has also been observed that the poles are heating up 3 times faster than the equator. Everything else beyond that is all speculation.

Except for the CO2 level chart, the rest are bogus and an affront to analytical climate science reality.

Of course it doesn't. Problem is that convincing the people that full on believe this nonsense to abandon their tightly held climate cult religious beliefs will be next to impossible. Politically, they will influence bad decisions that will cost all of us our ability to have a savings, retirement and living month to month with outrageous inflation, energy prices and hardships all because people are stupid

Kind of...There was a mini ice age that ended sometime around 1850 or so. 1816 was particularly cold. Reported temps in August were 40F in Connecticut one day.
The earth has been way hotter and colder than it is now at times in history (duh). That's why I say anything beyond observable FACTS are just plain speculation. We could be in an ice age for all we know and the carbon emissions are the only thing keeping us from freezing

The U.S. and a few locations in Europe and even fewer locations in Australia had temperature recording stations. U.S. has the most comprehensive data set starting around 1900.
If you are seeing temperature charts that represent temperature data since the 1900's from around the world you are seeing temperature data output from climate models, not raw data. World temperature data from 1900 does not exists. You are being manipulated.

In physics there is a property of matter that can be used to determine the energy required to raise a specific mass of CO2 one degree. It is called heat capacity. The two main atmospheric constituents in the air are nitrogen and oxygen. N2 and O2 have higher heat capacities than CO2. So it is correct to say that adding an atmospheric gas to a mixture with less heat capacity will require less energy to raise the temperature of that mixture. But CO2 is a trace gas. And for what it's worth argon makes up 1% of the atmosphere (where CO2 makes up 0.04%). Argon has almost half the heat capacity of CO2 so it takes half the energy to raise argon one degree than it does for CO2.
This impact from slightly higher concentrations of CO2 is minimal However the impact from increased water vapor due to CO2 greening is much more profound. Water vapor has twice the heat capacity of air so just adding water vapor to the mixture quickly (relative to other gases) requires a lot more solar energy to move the temperature gauge. Furthermore the addition to water vapor to the atmosphere from greening increases the energy capacity due to phase changes. Water vapor is the only atmospheric gas that goes through phase changes naturally and with phase changes water absorbs over three hundred time the energy of CO2 to condense and over 2300 times the energy to evaporate. Adding just a little water vapor to the atmosphere via greening is a game changer.
If you need an intuitive sense of what water vapor does to the atmosphere just compare the climates of Huntsville, AL to Phoenix, AZ. The only difference between these two locations is water vapor concentrations. Huntsville see far less temperature extremes than Phoenix.
