MM seems like a good dude. I mean that. But if you can’t do the job, they’re going to have to let you go.

They’re one basket and 3 injured Arkansas players away from being an 0-13 team.

This is a bad squad.

This team, although lacking shooting and rebounding, talent wise, is not this bad.

Yes it is

I disagree.

I'm not expecting this team to just turn into the likes of Duke, UNC, Villanova, Gonzaga, etc.....

But when the team loses 13 games in a row, most by double digits, the first place I look is at the coaching.

Didn't McMahon bring his three best players from Murray State to LSU? So he has talent on the team.

I think he's a good guy and all that but...... I don't see anything that makes me optimistic.

I wish I did. I hate saying that and I don't mean any disrespect to the man.

I love watching LSU basketball and even more when possibly making the tournament, I had false hope early on like most. But now it’s apparent that there isn’t much talent, we have one guy that could start on any other SEC team

Woody the clown gave him a 7 year deal. Gonna have to spend a lot of other people’s money again to fix his mistakes

You have to give him a pass on this seasnon. He lost almost the entire team from last year and was severely hampered in getting top players to come here because of looming sanctions.

Now that that cloud is off the program, we should be a desirable location for top transfers in the portal.

Totally agree. At least they are building for something now with Reed, Phillips, and Ward

There is hope if he can bring in a point guard and a Wing that can shoot consistently. The freshman have shown improvement.

I'm not happy with the results, but if folks are right and a coach should be expected to build a tournament team starting from scratch because of the portal, why does it matter when LSU fires MM? We all don't want to experience losing seasons but how is firing now any better for the long-term success of the program than firing him 2 years from now? Honest question.

It seems like targeting the right coach, regardless of the timing is the way to go. I'm curious to see how the players react. If there is a mass exodus after the season, that's a bad sign. If Ward, Reed, and Phillips stay, that says something different.

The cloud is still here and the ncaa is getting what they hoped for by not saying anything. It doesn’t matter if we get sanctions or not, recruits and potential transfers aren’t taking a chance on us until the ncaa comes out and says we’re in the clear now or until they give us what we’re gonna get.

It would be naive to think this is over

yes, he brought Justice Hill........perhaps the worst PG in LSU history aside from Chris Bass.

He brought hannibal. I like the guy, but he is not an SEC guard. Not close.

So he brought one serviceable player, who is undersized for what he does.

So yeah, we should have more than 1 SEC win, but not enough to move the needle

I have a hard time understanding why co called LSU fans
don`t realize that Matt McMahon came to campus late and had
1 scolorship player and expect this team to be overly com
petative. He has to build this program from the ground up.
You people need to keep the emotions out of this situation.
The man had no time or connections to bring in power 5
caliber talent.
If he doesnt get better talent in the next 2 years then
you can bitch.Who was going to come to LSU after they fired
ww and the program was in termoil.
