OC under an offensive HC with a future HOFer at QB.

No one trusts Bieniemy similar to how no one trusts Carmichael.

He’s OC in name only as everybody knows that it’s Reid’s show and he’s got a generational quarterback.

Which is weird given how many Andy Reid OC's have been hired for HC jobs. Reid has had 3 OCs, including the two previous to Bienemy get jobs.
McVay has also has has a number of offensive assistants get HC jobs even though he calls the plays.

Lost in his success with the Kansas City Chiefs is Eric Bieniemy’s rap sheet of poor decision-making:

February 1998: According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Colorado police arrested Bieniemy and teammate Kanavis McGhee after a bar fight. Bieniemy was charged with disorderly conduct and fighting in public, but he pleaded no contest. He and McGhee received deferred sentences and performed court-mandated community service.

July 4, 1990: According to the Orlando Sentinel, Bienemy pleaded no contest after allegedly shoving a firefighter. The University of Colorado Boulder suspended Bieniemy for one game in the upcoming season.

September 1993: Colorado police arrested Bieniemy, then in the NFL. The Orlando Sentinel reports that Bieniemy allegedly grabbed a female parking attendant by the neck and threatened her. The University of Colorado Boulder banned Bieniemy from its campus for one year as a result.

April 2001: According to the Daily Bruin, Colorado police arrested Bieniemy on a DUI charge, three months after he joined the football staff as a running back coach. He previously had his driver’s license suspended after numerous violations.
Bieniemy was also linked to allegations that Colorado’s football program “used alcohol and sex to lure recruits.” ESPN reported in 2004 that the university discovered there was evidence of drugs and alcohol being used to “entice recruits,” but no university officials were guilty of misconduct.

Give me Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and the weapons KC has and I could be a pretty damn successful offensive coordinator

Bieniemy wasn’t named OC until Mahomes’ 2nd year with the Chiefs. He’s had the luxury of both an offensive minded NFL HC and a Top 3 NFL QB.

I guess owners are reluctant to hand over the HC keys to him because of those two huge advantages he has had as an OC.

What did Carmichael do this year without Payton & Brees? Bottom 3rd in the league in both scoring and YPG.

Some people just don't interview well. He's had plenty of interviews.

Pete stinks but Andy Reid's numbers will take a big dip if you gave him 36 yr old Andy Dalton.

I mean, he was successful with a qb that refused to throw it to WR’s for an entire year

I thought the rumor was that he shows up to interviews unprepared and without a plan; instilling no confidence that he could manage an organization like an NFL football team.

I hope some team hires him I don't want Reid to retire and him get the HC here. After Reid retires I want NY Giants OC Mike Kafka to come back as our HC.

Probably gonna turn into a head coach in waiting situation. I think Reid would definitely push hard for him to get the Job but that's years away probably.

He just might end up being the Patrick Ewing of football coaches. The same questions asked about Eric were asked about Ewing as he remained an assistant for so many years. Looking at his track record with the Hoyas, it is obvious why he didn't get a HC gig.

Jason Whitlock, who wrote for the KC Star for years, claims that Reid wants Bienemy out of KC and that's why he pushes for him so hard to get jobs all the time, but he can't fire him.

Bienemy was basically the play caller for a bit early on, but there are reports that Reid took the play calling back after a short stint.

Bienemy is also supposedly a terrible interview and these owners get extremy gun-shy when they dig into his past.

There's obviously something there and it's not because of his pigment. Most owners would live to virtue signal hiring a black coach, but he has yet to get a job.
