Just watched Hachi last night though it’s been on my list for a long time. Thought I was gonna make it through in one piece until the years went by and he was still waiting. For the last hour or so I kept thinking “ End it. The end, the end. “
After all that I saw it was based on a true story. Somehow made it even worse.

I take it you haven’t watched “Eight Below” ?
I feel exactly the same way as you.

I saw Marley and Me in 2010. Tried to watch again it last week.
I just checked - I made it 18 minutes.
Just typing this messes me up.
That scene where they’re looking for him and find him lying in the yard. Man.

Yall I ain't gonna lie.
When Peter's all like, "he was too old, it was too far" and Shadow comes limpin up the hill. It's over for me. OVER. Ill even let a sob out. Doesn't matter how many times I've seen it.

The last two minutes or so of Fandango
Garnder and Debbie's last dance, Lester waking up, and then Phil and Dorman shaking hands. "Have a nice life" gets me everytime.
No other film has ever captured that existential slap of a moment when you realize that a part of your life is over forever and you'll never experience anything like it again.

A dog’s purpose, multiple times, but especially at the end, when he realizes his dog may be reincarnated. My daughter was recovering in icu for several days and that is all she wanted to watch, so I had to watch it numerous times. It was rough

Came here to post this.
Also Big Fish at the funeral when his son realizes his dad's stories were true, if a little embellished.
"Have you ever heard a joke so many times you've forgotten why it's funny? And then you hear it again and suddenly it's new. You remember why you loved it in the first place."
Kinda teared up just posting this quote; Great movie especially for the father son dynamic
