I don’t even understand it. He was before my time but wasn’t he the most successful MBB coach at LSU? Looking at his record now though it may have been the 4 straight losing seasons on his way out. Guess that’ll do it, that’s how you earn rant hate

He is bringing it on himself with his behavior honestly. This isn’t some innocent guy just getting attacked. He’s rather see LSU suck to prop up his overinflated legend than see them succeed.

They are super low IQ, and feel like they need something to be outraged about. It's the new "cool thing to do" and they are just fitting in.

What does a name on the court really do? Do I think any name should be on the court? No. But at the end of the day it will effect absolutely nothing. I will still watch the exact same amount of LSU basketball as I would before.

And it'll be the exact same people losing their mind when someone writes an article that isn't pro-LSU enough for them.

Louisiana is the dumbest state in the country, and it shows in our fanbase BIG time.

I’d guess because if you know anything about the real dale you’d know he’s a bad person .

Since I’ve met him several times, I can say he’s an amazing person. You just read comments from unhinged fans who have never met him.

Ok , an absolute liar who feigned to have zero knowledge of the paying of players that he orchestrated for 3 decades , even to go as far as to pay Lester Earl to change his story 20 years after the fact to remove Dale from wrongdoing . The constant forcing of himself into the LSU basketball program after he has not been the coach for 30 years . Having members of the media and LSU BOS work on his behalf to keep him relevant for his own ego. Last but not least an extremely mediocre coach who under achieved at an astounding rate . Also his public persona of being a nice person, honest and by the book coach , when he was the opposite of all those things in reality . Honestly I don’t care about any of the stuff had he been a championship winner , but he was anything but that . He was a mediocre coach with a hall of fame ego , Who inserted himself into the public view for self gratification and was not deserving of having anything named after him . Smoke Laval has as much right to have something named after him if you compare their accomplishments .

I’m not really a basketball fan . Also I am not a lying hypocrite ego maniac fan , hence my not being a Dale fan . I must admit you have talked some sense into me , I admit that Dale deserves to have the court named after him for his outstanding accomplishments and numerous championships . I will go a step further , I propose changing tiger stadium to Dale Brown field because his legacy is that great . Thank you to all the Dale supporters for showing me the way .

You know, Dan, considering the list of your failures and inadequacies that your wife has described to me on many occasions, I find it a bit hypocritical for you to be posting about Dale Brown’s shortcomings. I mean, at least aren’t as highly personal and embarrassing as most of yours, but if it helps you to get through the day, whatever…

Have nice day, “Tiny”…

Makes perfect sense now. Even further proof you are spouting off nonsense.

Try again. Just four post up I said exactly this. But yep, you got me dumbass.

Can you lay off Dale Brown? He won a lot more big games than he lost. Dale had LSU on the basketball map for many years. He had more sustained success than most of you shitheads ever had in your life.

I was at that game with a customer. At half time the customer said “well I guess LSU has this game.” I told him to watch the second half. Kentucky came out and full court pressed. lS U couldn’t get the ball in bounded. When they did. Kentucky fouled and LSU missed the free throws.

Dale Brown was a great recruiter but he couldn’t coach is way through a game. Art Tollis and Ron Abernathy were his in game coaches.

Dale was rammed down our throats 30 years later, not the other way around. Every bit of the vitriol is deserved.

Haha...did you break your pearls from clutching them so tightly? You talked about Brown being a bad person and when someone asked you for your personal evidence from experiences with him, you basically admitted that you don't even know Brown by posting a long paragraph with no examples of personal experiences with him.

Ask Jordy off the record about Dale’s knowledge and participation of paying players . Hultberg, not Culotta. So please stop white knighting daddy dale , his record on all ends speaks for itself .

They were all freaking paying players or giving them benefits. The NCAA would usually just penalize the smaller schools though. It was hypocritical. That doesn't make all the coaches bad people though.
