Im being given $10K to invest in the market/crypto. What do I buy? (Two year time frame)

Time frame matters. But can't go wrong with low cost passive index funds. Total stock market or S&P

I would decide on a timeframe, do some reading, devise your own methodology for picking equities and make your own choices.
A lot of people say "investing" when they really want to see short-term gains, which is what trading is suited for. The problem with asking others for investing/trading advice is you don't know the timeframe or expectations they're relying on when they make those recommendations.

Normally we could let a guy off the hook after making a bad call (real bad in this case), but he was so full of himself and arrogant about it. So… let the beatings continue!

This pending recession will have been the most telegraphed recession in the history of the market. The idea that there is a material decline to come because of it is hard to believe, but not impossible.
