One of the most important question marks on team is Kira..

Kira's injury last year was huge in the future of this team. The two previous games before his injury he found his shot. To me, he was just beginning to play with confidence before his injury. As I said earlier, his development is crucial to the teams success, or failure. If he succeeds the rest of the year, then maybe we have our point. I know his play against the Kings was a huge step in the right direction. I'm pulling for him BIG TIME. I LIKE HIS FUTURE.

things I noticed this year in 10 games
1. Doesn't look lost on defense
2a. Moves lightning quick attacking the rim still
2b. Can't throttle down his speed, gets a little too fast at the rim and overplays his layups
3. Shooting looks solid
4. Looks to be a facilitator first

He also looks like he’s bulked up enough that he belongs on the court. That wasn’t the case last season.

A drive and dish would complete this team

I'm liking what we've seen from Kira so far this year. I agree that he's an important piece for us for our future success. Hopefully he stays healthy the rest of the year and his minutes continue to increase.

I’m liking what I’m seeing, he can still be a little out of control at times. Problem is he makes 5.7m next year which is kinda a lot for someone that won’t get much playing time at all when healthy. You can get a minimum guy for 2m to give you the minutes Kira does when we need to dive deep into our bench

Y’all keep trying to wish this into existence.
Kira will never be anything

His defense has been terrible.
His speed is elite though, which has been good on the break, good to see that the surgery didn't impact that. Only problem is that he's like 27th on our depth chart of guards/wings who's main source of offense is driving to the basket with little to no outside threat to speak of.
(5th really, behind Herb, Naji, Jose, Dyson)

A tacky comment to go along with your TackySweater.

IMO this is a mistaken view, and his improved shooting is a critical part of his future value.
Kira was a good shooter in college, is a career 86% FT shooter, is shooting over 38% from 3pt this season.
He was slow to get it going, but his current shooting is more in line with his history and how he was projected than the low 30% shooting early in his career.
If Kira can be a plus shooter with his speed, then he is a matchup nightmare on offense. His swing skill is his D (in addition to continued shooting). If he can use his speed to be more of a disruptor on D, then he quickly becomes a starting caliber guard and one the Pels can keep on a value contract at 22 years old (a year younger than Trey/Jax/EJ Liddell, 3 years younger than Jose/Herb, almost 4 years younger than Naji).

Yeah I’m not sure how people don’t see him having solid shooting potential. He has a nice stroke. I don’t think he’s someone we give up on yet unless there’s a trade that is hard to turn down.

15th pick in 2022
7 1" 245
14 minutes. 7 points
can he defend pnr? his weight 245 for 7 1 is super fit. so possibly pnr defender.
i knew c dick Cunningham at murray. he was 6 10 and 250 and virtually no body fat. led nation in rebounds. alcindor was #2.
whats your guess what it costs to get mark today?
does he hit the boards?
if we get him he needs to go by his middle name alone. Oluwafemi
