Mount Washington wind chill: New Hampshire summit fell to minus 108 F, lowest recorded

Bitter cold dropped temperatures to record breaking lows in the Northeast on Friday.
The wind chill — what the temperature feels like — on the summit of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, dropped to minus 108 F.
That's likely the lowest wind chill ever recorded in the United States since meteorologists began calculating wind chills, said Brian Brettschneider, an Alaskan climate scientist.Reconstructing wind chill based on historic records at Mount Washington shows the wind chill also could have been at minus 108 F or below on Jan. 22, 1885. The low that day — which still stands as the record low— was minus 50 F and the 24-hour average wind speed was 89 mph, Brettschneider said. That combination would produce a wind chill below minus 108 F, he said.
The temperature on Mount Washington dropped as low as minus 46 degrees F on Friday night, with 97 mph winds, the National Weather Service said. Nope YouTube of the Observatory In NH

Not gonna lie... I absolutely loathe you repeatedly wrote out minus instead of using the negative sign.

The summit was in the stratosphere yesterday too.

That global warming is fricked up. I’m glad the Chinese weather balloons are getting to the bottom of it.

It’s because our bodies radiate heat and it makes a little bubble around us, but wind will blow it away. Well you can negate that by wearing a fricking COAT. Wind chills are for naked people.

Why does the "Heat Index" disappear from weather reports during winter? And why is there no "wind chill factor" reported during summer?
Hype. Media hype.

Letting the pups out last night on Gunstock mountain in NH “felt” pretty dang cold.

Those coats aren't that useful with 112 mph winds at that temperature.

I said this long ago and it still holds true: I have trouble believing the entire globe is warming when we're still having record cold temperatures every year.
