We typically go to 30A and I am tired of all of the people. Is there an alternative more East that would be a good alternative. Looking for maybe something withing 2 hours farther. Thanks.

St George Island or Cape San Blas if you want minimal crowds. It’s the complete opposite of 30A in that regard. Of course that also means fewer restaurants, activities, etc.

There are different ways to do 30A, and many many of them don’t involve any crowds. In fact, where are you finding crowds?

I hate doing this because it's our escape from NW Flroida and I would rather it not catch on, but.... check out Anna Marie Island. The water and sand are just like Destin and the Summer is their off season. Long Boat key is also nice but the sand is a bit more course, which is odd considering it is directly next to Anna Marie.

There is a way to avoid crowds, but during the summer, there is no way to avoid the traffic. We moved to Miramar Beach just so we could get to and from the grocery in under 30 minutes.

A little beyond what the OP was looking for. That’s like a 6 hour drive past PCB

Just go in mid-late September. We started doing this a couple years ago and we’ll never go back May-August. Still plenty warm with 25% of the crowds.

Have you tried eating dinner at any of the restaurants between June and august?

Early to mid may is the best time to visit the panhandle. I would not recommend visiting anytime between memorial day and labor day

Orange beach. 30A is about wives that want to put the sticker on their car, I could totally do without the $200 pizza lunches (for four!) with $30 worth of booze. F that place.

Do y'all not have kids in school? How are the places farther down the road doing after the hurricane?

Mexico Beach, St. Joe Beach, Port. St. Joe. Small towns right on the beach. No fancy schmancy shops & restaurants.

Look up Latitude Adjustment in Port St Joe. When you get on Google maps you can zoom out and see other rentals in the area…toward Indian Pass. The Barnacle Beach House is even further that way.

Not during the Summer. Not even close. Rarely any traffic on Longboat and Anna Marie just gets congested near Bridge St.
